Calculating Woman is from a series that has abstract people depicted in real settings. In this case the woman is actually using a hand held calculator while enjoying a drink and a smoke. The stencil was painted by hand in the screen using a block-out medium. It was then hand printed with the reduction process where each color has the previous color/colors underneath. This results in an image with vivid colors and a rich impasto. This piece adds a great splash of color to a room!
